Immediately Available: HR Business Partner – Surrey – c£55,000
We’re pleased to be representing a highly experienced HR Business Partner who is immediately available and open to new permanent opportunities in Surrey and surrounding areas.
With over a decade of HR leadership experience across both public and private sector organisations, this candidate brings deep technical knowledge, strong stakeholder engagement skills, and a track record of delivery in complex, fast-paced environments.
Their experience spans childcare, public sector, facilities, and support services, demonstrating the flexibility and breadth that many organisations seek in a senior HR generalist. Most recently, they led the HR function for a group of 16 sites, supporting c.250 staff across multiple locations.
During this contract, they implemented a new HR system, overhauled policy documentation, introduced cost-saving recruitment initiatives, and acted as a trusted advisor to the leadership team. Their strategic oversight and hands-on delivery resulted in measurable improvements in retention, policy compliance, and workforce reporting.
Prior to this, they held a senior HR role in a healthcare support business, managing a multi-site team and overseeing HR for c.300 staff.
They led the rollout of a new HRIS, resolved a high volume of employee relations cases, and worked closely with trade unions during a business restructuring.
Their pragmatic approach to ER, combined with a sound grasp of employment law, meant all cases were concluded without escalation. They also achieved a 100% completion rate for compliance training through refreshed delivery methods and regular audits.
Earlier in their career, they transitioned into HR from a frontline operational role, where they began building their expertise in recruitment strategy, employee relations, and systems implementation. They also gained valuable experience in union consultation, TUPE, and leading HR through periods of business change and restructuring.
With a calm, solutions-focused style, they are confident working at board level and well-versed in handling sensitive change projects and union relationships. They are now seeking an interim or permanent opportunity where they can add long-term value as part of a collaborative and forward-thinking HR team.
This candidate is open to roles in Surrey and nearby areas, and is targeting positions around the £55,000 level. They bring credibility, versatility, and a genuine passion for improving the employee experience.
