We’re working with an experienced and hands-on Head of HR who is open to new opportunities in the Midlands or London, with a salary expectation in the region of £65,000. With a strong background in both SME and larger corporate settings, this candidate brings over 15 years of HR experience with a focus on operational delivery, employee relations, and driving positive change across HR functions.
Their last role saw them working as Head of HR in a fast-paced organisation, where they took the lead on people strategy, policy development, and day-to-day HR operations. They have worked closely with leadership to align HR with business priorities, supporting growth while maintaining strong employee engagement and compliance.
Before stepping into their current leadership role, they spent almost nine years within a complex engineering and manufacturing business. There, they worked across several HR roles, progressing from HR Advisor to HR Manager, with responsibility for operations, engineering, and central services. During this time, they developed a reputation for calm, credible advice, particularly in areas such as employee relations, change management, and union engagement.
This candidate is confident managing the full employee lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding through to performance, reward, and exit. They’ve introduced practical improvements across HR systems and processes, led restructuring programmes, and supported a range of employee engagement initiatives. They’re also experienced in leading HR projects across multiple departments and sites, with a strong understanding of operational HR challenges.
In their current position, they play a key role in driving forward EDI and wellbeing programmes and supporting a more inclusive working environment. They’re trusted by senior stakeholders and are known for bringing a practical, people-first approach to HR.
They hold CIPD qualifications and have invested in continuous development throughout their career.
