We’re representing an experienced HR Manager who is open to both interim and permanent opportunities. They will consider roles that are based within a commutable distance from Peterborough.
This candidate brings a well-rounded generalist background with experience across the public, private, and not-for-profit sectors. They have worked in both strategic and hands-on roles and are confident operating at pace. Their style is practical, people-focused, and data-led. They enjoy using people metrics to drive insight, shape HR strategy, and improve decision-making across the employee lifecycle.
In their most recent position, they led the development of a new workforce strategy aligned to business priorities. This involved identifying key people risks, improving internal communications, and helping line managers feel more confident in handling day-to-day HR issues. The strategy delivered measurable improvements in engagement, reduced turnover, and supported more effective workforce planning.
They are particularly strong in environments where HR needs to evolve. Whether that’s helping a business move from outsourced to in-house HR support, setting up systems and policies from scratch, or leading a refresh of people processes, they bring the right mix of structure, flexibility, and accountability.
In earlier roles, they’ve worked in unionised and regulated environments and are confident managing complex ER cases. They’ve also delivered cost-saving recruitment projects, introduced more inclusive hiring practices, and implemented digital tools to streamline HR admin and reporting.
This is someone who builds trust quickly, brings calm to challenging situations, and doesn’t overcomplicate things. They are equally comfortable as a standalone HR lead or as part of a wider people team and are used to building credibility with senior stakeholders.
