This Head of HR brings calm authority, sound judgement, and a personable approach to people leadership. With over 20 years of experience across technology, professional services, and manufacturing, they combine strategic thinking with hands-on delivery.
They are credible at board level and trusted by leaders and employees alike. Commercially aware. Comfortable balancing growth, risk, and performance without losing focus on culture and long-term capability.
Most recently, they worked as Global Head of HR for a remote-first knowledge based business of around 200 employees across the UK, Europe, North America, and a global contractor workforce. As part of the executive leadership team, they shaped and delivered people strategy aligned to both consultancy and product-led models.
They owned people operations end to end, spanning employee relations, learning and development, reward, workforce planning, and global recruitment. They led HR decision-making across multiple jurisdictions, covering employment law, immigration, relocation, data protection, and information security.
They also owned HR systems. From HRIS and payroll integration through to onboarding, benefits, and leave management, they ensured systems supported scale and consistency. They are particularly strong at process mapping and practical automation, favouring solutions that work over heavy frameworks.
A key strength is operating well in ambiguity. They anticipate organisational needs and design people initiatives that lift engagement, productivity, and development. Their advice to senior leaders is balanced and trusted. They have led and developed small HR teams with clear accountability and a strong sense of ownership.
Earlier in their career, they spent a decade leading the People function in a high-growth technology business. Starting with fewer than 50 employees, they built the HR function from scratch and supported growth to over 200. The business achieved national recognition as a leading employer for several consecutive years.
Their impact was measurable.They led UK and international recruitment of around 60 hires per year, including graduate and intern pipelines. They introduced career pathways, job levelling, succession planning, and learning frameworks. They supported international expansion, new office launches, and multi-region payroll.
They also bring experience from manufacturing and FMCG environments and have operated as an independent HR consultant, advising growing businesses on organisational design, culture, engagement, and leadership coaching.
They hold MCIPD status, executive education from a leading business school, an ILM Level 5 coaching qualification, and counselling training. They have strong HRIS, ATS, and reward systems knowledge.
They are now seeking a Head of HR role where they can partner with senior leaders, strengthen culture, and support sustainable growth. Salary is flexible depending on scope. Open to roles across Cambridgeshire, Lincolnshire, and the East Midlands.
