Head of People – London – c. £90–100k
We’re currently representing an experienced People leader who has led HR strategy and built People functions across start-ups, scale-ups, global corporates, and the public sector. Their background spans high-growth technology, global finance, and large, complex organisations.
They take a commercial, pragmatic, and people-first approach to HR leadership and are now looking for a Head of HR role in the London area. They are open to both permanent and long-term interim roles in the £90,000 to £100,000 range.
They have a strong track record of delivering results in change-heavy environments and have built HR functions from the ground up. In their most recent role, they led people strategy for a 150+ person global tech and finance business during a post-investment scale-up.
Results included a 15% increase in engagement, a 20% reduction in time-to-hire, and the successful rollout of global mentoring and wellbeing programmes that positively impacted retention and internal mobility.
This candidate has deep experience aligning people strategy with wider business goals. In a recent global contractor role, they partnered with product, tech, data, and AI leaders on a full organisational redesign and performance framework project, placing HR at the centre of business planning.
Past roles have also included leadership of global performance and engagement programmes, DEI strategy, leadership development, and post-merger cultural integration.
They are confident working in matrixed, hybrid, and international environments, with global scope across EMEA, the Americas, and APAC. They navigate scale-up challenges and organisational change with calm and clarity, and bring an evidence-led approach to decision making.
Earlier in their career, they held a high-impact role in central government, where they designed and launched a national inclusion strategy adopted across multiple departments. They’ve also held senior roles in professional services and global consultancy firms, leading work on workforce planning, talent, and behavioural change.
They are CIPD-qualified, an accredited executive coach, and hold additional qualifications in Organisational Design and Development. What stands out is their ability to move quickly from strategy to action, their calm leadership style during periods of change, and their focus on building inclusive, high-performing workplaces.
If you’re hiring into a senior HR role and want to speak with someone with a solid track record across knowledge-based sectors, this candidate would be well worth a conversation. Please get in touch if you’d like to request a CV or arrange a confidential chat.
