Experienced People Leader Available for Fractional CPO Opportunities
Cambridge, London and South | Guide Salary: c£165,000 (pro rata)
We’re pleased to be supporting an exceptional People leader now available for a new challenge. With a career spanning over two decades in HR and Talent roles, this candidate brings strategic insight, commercial focus, and a deeply human leadership style. Most recently, they spent seven years as Chief People Officer within a global, values-led creative tech business, helping the company scale, grow, and evolve through major structural and cultural change.
They have gained extensive experience guiding founder-led businesses through to more mature leadership models, ensuring the heart of the organisation remains intact while the operational and people infrastructure is strengthened.
As a member of the Board and Global Executive Team, they led key global initiatives including unifying separate studios under one operating model, driving B Corp certification and recertification, and supporting the shift to an Employee Ownership Trust.
They are well-versed in the design and delivery of global People strategies. From performance management frameworks to DEI roadmaps, compensation benchmarking to employee engagement initiatives, their work is grounded in fairness, clarity, and accountability.
Notably, they introduced structured levelling, launched a global DEI forum, and built a comprehensive approach to engagement through monthly eNPS and annual surveys.
On the recruitment side, they have hired into Board, C-Suite, and senior leadership roles, introduced a new ATS, and created a talent roadmap that delivered both transparency and long-term planning. They also bring deep experience of managing complex ER issues sensitively and thoroughly, including senior exits, reorgs, and investigations.
Earlier in their career, they spent 15 years within a major professional services group, rising from HR Assistant to becoming a Board-level Partner. During this time, they led a wide range of people programmes across direct-to-consumer, B2B and digital business units. Their experience includes TUPE, acquisitions, restructures, UKBA audits, and group-wide wellbeing and induction programmes.
This candidate is warm, grounded, and values-driven, with a clear ability to win trust and influence at a senior level. They are passionate about purpose-led leadership and have a track record of creating inclusive, resilient, and high-performing cultures that support sustainable growth.
Now available for a new role, they are open to fractional Chief People Officer positions in Cambridge, London, or the wider South of England. They bring deep experience, fresh perspective, and a collaborative, thoughtful style that would be a strong asset to any leadership team.
