Immediately Available: Group HR Director – London – £135,000
We’re currently supporting an experienced senior HR professional with a proven ability to lead and deliver impactful people strategies in complex and fast-paced environments. Based in London and available immediately, they are open to permanent HR Director roles, with a target salary of c£135,000.
This candidate brings strong HR experience gained through a combination of senior in-house roles and consulting assignments. They have worked across a range of sectors, including professional services, technology, and the public sector, with experience in both high-growth scale-ups and more structured corporate settings. Their strength lies in translating business objectives into practical, people-focused solutions that support performance, engagement, and growth.
Most recently, they led the global people function for a VC-backed tech business undergoing rapid growth. In this role, they created and implemented a people strategy aligned to the business goals, introduced a new HRIS, and led an organisation-wide engagement initiative that delivered measurable improvements. They also played a key role in organisational design and led the shift towards a skills-based structure, introducing career frameworks and capability matrices to improve clarity and progression across teams.
Prior to this, they worked as a change consultant, advising large clients on HR operating models, service delivery, and process improvement. This included undertaking rapid HR reviews and supporting organisations preparing for major HRIS implementations. Their ability to operate at both strategic and operational levels makes them particularly effective in change environments.
Earlier in their career, they held senior HR positions in professional services and tech firms, where they were responsible for building and embedding HR functions from the ground up. Key achievements included developing performance frameworks, creating dashboards with people metrics to inform leadership decisions, and leading strategic workforce planning initiatives. They’ve also advised external clients on employee relations matters and implemented wellbeing and early careers programmes that delivered strong engagement results.
They hold a master’s degree in Human Resource Management, are CIPD qualified to Level 7, and have continued to build on their professional learning throughout their career. Known for being commercially minded, pragmatic, and delivery-focused, this candidate is ideally suited to organisations looking for an HR Director who can step in quickly, understand the brief, and deliver results.
